Week of Writing – Oct 6th through 10th

I am taking a week off work from October 6th through the 10th and dedicating it to getting myself organized and getting myself writing.   I’m going to blog each day about what I’ve accomplished and any goals I still have to accomplish.

Now, since this is going to be a strange week and a big test of self discipline, does anyone have any suggestions for keeping myself going throughout the week and not going stir-crazy at home?  I, so far, have made about 4 different lists of things I should do/read when at home, along with writing.  These include updating my blogs, checking out a couple bookstores (to get me out of the house), taking the dog out on regular walks (though I do that everyday anyway), reading a couple books and catching up on my Writer’s Magazine reading.  Also put some stuff on Ebay.  And alternately writing on my novel and (if I get stuck) editing short stories – with the goal of submitting them to contests/magazines by the end of the week.  How does that sound?  Anyone have good ideas about other ways to keep me in a creative mindset?

I’m a little nervous since I’ve never done this sort of thing before – can you tell?
