Do artists really need to suffer for their work? A favorite website of mine, graphjam seems to think so.

But seriously, do we need to suffer or starve to be artistic? I think that’s a stereotype. I mean, is JK Rowling suffering? Probably not.

Just so everyone can keep track, so far I have submitted two stories to three separate publications.  All have been rejected .  Here’s the list:

My mom and I will be attending the UCLA Writer’s Fairethis fine weekend. If you’re in LA and like that sort of thing, you should check it out. UCLA has an amazing writer’s program, and the Faire has decent seminars (plus, they had a drawing for a free class last time and I won. W00t!)
